Southington Branch – Learning Center
Teacher’s Aides & Subs Teacher’s Aide – Afternoons – 2:30pm – 5:30pm Subs- Early mornings – 6:30am – 9:00am or Anytime 6:30am – 5:30pm Pay: $15.00+/hr based on experience · Must be 16 years of age or older · Have previous experience working with children · Responsible for developing a positive relationship and projecting a positive attitude while interacting with staff, children, parents, and YMCA supervisors · Responsible and accountable for effectively planning, supervising and leading activities for school age children · Serve as role model for the children as well as staff · Able to be certified in CT Childcare, Adult & Child CPR, administering medication and Epi-pen, and attain certification within 90 days of employment
Southington Branch – School Age Child Care
State of CT certified Head Teacher Part time position Monday – Friday -6:30am-9:00am and 2:45pm – 5:30pm Pay: $16.00/hr · Must be 20 years old or older · Able to be certified as a State of CT Head Teacher for School Age children · Provide quality programming and engagement for children · Able to work at least three days a week

Head Teacher Site Coordinator Part time shifts open Monday – Friday Before Care- 6:30am-9:00am After Care- 2:15pm – 6:00pm or 3:00pm – 6:00pm Pay: $17.00/hr based on experience · Must be 20 years or older and have a High School diploma and attending an accredited college or university, or have graduated from one. · Able to be certified as a CT Head Teacher: 12 credits in college education, recreation, group social work or related field (or a 4 year degree in the same fields) · Candidate must obtain certification in First Aid and CPR, to be maintained throughout employment, or achieve them within 3 months of employment · Effectively lead, supervise and evaluate 5 or more staff · Must have excellent communication with staff, parents and school personnel while able to make decisions quickly in a variety of situation
