Ambassadors also strive to encourage members to be active and inform them of the various ways they can become more connected in the Chamber by attending networking functions, educational programs, and/or volunteering on a committee.
This committee works with Chamber members, Town officials, and potential members to facilitate business activities in Southington. Members formulate real solutions for the opportunities and challenges that face businesses and the community we serve.
The Central Business Alliance promotes and facilitates economic viability and enhancement for the businesses located in the two gateways of the town- the downtown areas of Southington and Plantsville. Also critical is the cultivation and maintenance of effective lines of communication between the business sector and the municipal town government. The committee meets the first Friday of each month at SoCCA. Check www.southingtonchamber.com for meeting details.
This committee is designed to empower the individual and professional growth of members and to be a positive influence in the community by offering educational and creative programs and community events. The Inspire Women’s Committee coordinates Ladies Night and Adopt A Family. The committee meets the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30am in the Chamber office.
The Chamber’s Golf Tournament is held every year on the Wednesday prior to the town’s Apple Harvest Festival. A terrific opportunity for business representatives to network, advertise their business, and support the Chamber and community. A portion of the proceeds funds scholarships for graduating students of Southington High School.
