The following is a detailed list of current Chamber committees:

Ambassadors serve as liaisons between the membership and the board. This committee communicates with current members and relays their respective business concerns and development needs to the board for support. Ambassadors also strive to encourage members to be active and inform them of the various ways they can become more connected in the Chamber by attending networking functions, educational programs, and/or volunteering on a committee.

Many business representatives advance their connections in the community through this committee. The Chamber’s highly successful internship program, Training For Tomorrow, partners juniors and seniors from Southington High School with local businesses giving them an opportunity to explore future career opportunities.

This committee works with Chamber members, Town officials, and potential members to facilitate business activities in Southington. Members formulate real solutions for the opportunities and challenges that face businesses and the community we serve.

The Central Business Alliance promotes and facilitates economic viability and enhancement for the businesses located in the two gateways of the town- the downtown areas of Southington and Plantsville. Also critical is the cultivation and maintenance of effective lines of communication between the business sector and the municipal town government. The committee meets the first Friday of each month at SoCCA. Check for meeting details.

Be a liaison between state government and the Chamber membership to initiate and explain regulations and new laws. This committee organizes programs with speakers on key issues for members.

The committee also serves as a valuable resource for members looking for marketing ideas. The Marketing Committee meets the second Tuesday of the month at 8:30am at the Chamber office.
