Marie is an Associate Professor and Chair of the History Department at Southern Connecticut State University, where she has been since 2010. Her research focuses on gender and religion in early America, including women as writers during the Revolution. Her first book We Shall Not Differ in Heaven: Conflict and Community in Colonial Philadelphia was published with Palgrave Macmillan in 2026. Her other current work is on ministers who were accused of sexual indiscretions in the colonial period. She lives in New Haven with her husband, two children, and two cats (named Betsy Ross and George Washington).

The Southington Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Women’s Leadership Network is open to women of all professions at all career levels.
Chamber membership is required to be a member of the Business Women’s Leadership Network.
Bi-monthly Luncheons are open to the public and offer a Chamber member and non-Chamber member pricing.
