The following is a detailed list of current Chamber committees:
Ambassadors serve as liaisons between the membership and the board. This committee communicates with current members and relays their respective business concerns and development needs to the board for support. Ambassadors also strive to encourage members to be active and inform them of the various ways they can become more connected in the Chamber by attending networking functions, educational programs, and/or volunteering on a committee.
The Central Business Alliance which promotes and facilitates economic viability and enhancement for the businesses located in the two gateways of the town- the downtown areas of Southington and Plantsville. Also critical is the cultivation and maintenance of effective lines of communication between the business sector and the municipal town government. The Health & Wellness Committee champions workplace wellness and health – related resources within the business community through various educational programs, communication and initiatives.
This committee meets the second Tuesday of every month, 8:30am at the YMCA Admin. building, 130 N. Main St.
