SUMMARY:Business Women’s Leadership Network Luncheon ~ October 8\, 2026 - Beyond The White Coat
DESCRIPTION:About the Guest Speaker:\nDr. Camelia Lawrence is a nationally respected breast surgeon\, healthcare executive\, educator\, community leader\, and passionate advocate for health equity. As Director of Breast Surgery for Hartford HealthCare’s Central Region\, she leads with innovation\, compassion\, and an unwavering commitment to transforming the patient experience. \nBut her impact extends far beyond the operating room. From breaking barriers in medicine and leadership to mentoring the next generation and serving communities across Connecticut and beyond\, Dr. Lawrence has built a career rooted in purpose\, courage\, service\, and authenticity. \nShe also serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the UConn School of Medicine\, where she helps educate and inspire medical students and surgical residents who will become the next generation of physicians. \nAnd among her many roles\, the one she treasures most is being Mom to her two children\, Ashley and Nathan. \n“Beyond the White Coat: A Woman’s Journey\, A Surgeon’s Mission\, and the Power of Breast Health.” \nThe three main takeaways of Dr. Lawerence’s talk will be: \n1.
