Business and Networking

The Southington Chamber is a vibrant, diverse organization of members in Southington and surrounding towns.  We have the tools to help you start a new business and the resources to help your business succeed.  We foster business-to-business and business-to-consumer partnerships by providing members with a wide variety of networking and marketing opportunities.  Below are just some of the programs we offer that can successfully market and build your business.

Grand Opening – These ribbon cutting ceremonies are held for new member businesses that are just opening their doors. Excellent opportunity to introduce your new business to the Chamber membership and to secure publicity on social media and in the press to promote your services and products to the entire community. New business owners are recognized and presented with a new member Chamber plaque to proudly display. Contact the Chamber for details.

Business After Hours – These popular informal business networking events are co-hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and one of its members at their individual business. The event is an opportunity for all businesses in the Southington community to promote their products and services, meet potential new clients, socialize in a casual manner, and introduce employees to members of the business community.  All employees of Chamber of Commerce member businesses are invited to participate in the receptions.  We encourage attendees to pass out literature about their company and its products and services.  To host a BAH, contact the Chamber.

Chamber In The Morning – This highly attended networking event is held monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at The Orchards of Southington on Hobart Street, from 8-9am. These sessions allow members to promote their products and services, exchange ideas, and establish new business partnerships with fellow members. One pre-selected business is given the chance to shine and share in detail information about their business in our 3-minute Business Spotlight feature. While there is no charge to attend, the networking opportunities are priceless.  A free continental breakfast is served.

Business Forums – The Chamber partners with the Southington Economic Development Department to present educational seminars featuring high caliber speakers throughout the year.  The topics addressed focus on the current needs of area professionals and are constructed to strengthen their sales, marketing, and financial skills.
